Green dyes and red dyes hosts materials are expected to record $ 191.6 billion and $ 19.2 billion in revenue, respectively. Green dopants and Polymer based OLED materials are estimated at $ 13.9 billion and $ 13.8 billion, respectively.
In 2019, the total value of the global luminescent material market was $ 12.8 billion. Samsung Display accounted for 43% of the demand, LG Display for 19.4% and the Chinese BOE for 11.6%.
The ranking of top buyers for OLED materials in 2019 from the Smartphone segment is in descending order: Samsung Display, BOE, and LG Display. LG Display was responsible in 2019 for 60.8% of demand for OLED materials as generated by the TV segment.
Samsung Display and BOE do not produce OLED panels for the TV segment at the moment, but are likely to enter this business in the next few years, which would further lead to the demand growth for OLED materials.
